In Matthew 24:37, Jesus says, “But as the days of Noe [Noah] were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.” According to our Lord Jesus, we can expect much of what happened in the time frame just before the Flood to be replicated before the end of this age. In fact, the words “but as” in this verse mean just exactly as or precisely as, and the words “so shall also” mean it accordingly will be, thus it will be, or it will be keeping in line with. This means that just exactly as it was before the Flood, it accordingly will be just before the Lord comes again!
