When you are in God’s will, you are protected. When Paul finally accepted that he was called to the Gentiles the Lord spoke to him in Acts 18:10 and said, “For I am with thee, and no man shall set on thee to hurt thee….” This could be translated, “No man shall lay a hand on thee to hurt thee.…” Prior to this, he had been beaten with rods, stoned, thrown in jail, etc. But now he was hearing something he had never heard before. Proverbs 16:7 says, “When a man’s ways please the Lord, even his enemies will be at peace with him.” Paul was about to experience this in real-time, having come into line with God’s primary call on his life.
