Parents have a solemn responsibility to raise their children up in the Lord. While this assignment can be difficult, it doesn’t always have to be complicated, so we want to encourage you to start by simply helping your children get the Word of God in their hearts. The scriptures that they memorize now will serve to strengthen their faith and help them stay rooted in the truth as they grow, so we’ve picked some great foundational verses to start memorizing with your children.

Joshua 1:9 

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.

Proverbs 3:5

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding;

Psalm 139:14

I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well.

1 John 1:5
