But we are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul.
Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.
Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope.
1 Peter 3:3-4
Do not let your adornment be merely outward—arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel— rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God.
Therefore, be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain. You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.
You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. Trust in the Lord forever, for in Yah, the Lord, is everlasting strength.
He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city.
