Why do I need to be saved? What is salvation and why is it important?
In a word, salvation means being saved from separation from God. According to the Bible, all mankind, men and women, inherited this separation when Adam disobeyed God in the garden of Eden causing spiritual death, or separation from God, to enter into him. But God in His mercy, loved us so much that He sent His only Son, Jesus, to end that separation and legally restore our relationship with Him just as it was before Adam sinned. This restored relationship with God is a free gift. Would you like pray with me and receive this gift for yourself?
If your answer was yes, pray this prayer out loud.
If these things are true and You really are hearing my prayer, I come to You in the Name of Your Son Jesus. I now realize after reading this, why I may need this salvation. I ask You for forgive me of my sing that inherited from Adam. You said if I confess with my mouth that “Jesus is Lord,” and acknowledge that He died to restore my realtionship with You , believing in my heart that You raised Jesus from the dead for me, I will be saved (Romans 10:9). I confess right now with my mouth that Jesus is Lord, and I believe with my heard that You raised Him from the dead for me. Thank You for saving me!
In Jesus’ Name I pray.
If you prayed that prayer, write your name in the Lamb’s Book of Life! While we know it’s not “THE” Lamb’s of Life in heaven, this is a way of acknowledging to yourself that your name IS now written in the actual Lamb’s Book of Life in heaven as a result of your faith in Jesus’ sacrifice for YOU!
